Safe and Effective

photo_2020-04-05_01-25-49_edited_edited.

While chlorine dioxide has chlorine in its name, its chemistry is very different from the corrosive chemistry of chlorine bleach. The primary differences are that chlorine dioxide is less caustic, safer, and gentler than bleach and many other antiseptics and antimicrobials, plus it remains effective under organic load. Further, chlorine bleach produces harmful by-products to the environment, including trihalomethanes (THM) and haloacetic acids (HAAS). Vital Oxide breaks down to a simple salt, producing no harmful by-products.

Misters, Foggers, Chemical Sprayers & Electrostatic Sprayers are used to apply the product throughout the area to be sprayed. Electrostatic Sprayers have an advantage over other methods in that the electrically charged droplets that are expelled can cover more area that the others which makes coverage more inclusive than other methods. And is the  main choice when disinfecting and sanitizing.

Electrostatic Spraying

Electrostatic spray is electrically charged, allowing the appropriate sanitizers, mold preventatives and disinfectants to wrap around and evenly coat all types of surfaces for a more complete clean. As the chemical exits the electrostatic sprayer, it’s given a positive electrical charge. The droplets then become attracted to all negative surfaces, covering the visible area, underside and backside, with the sanitizing agent. Surfaces that are already covered will repel the spray, making the method extremely efficient.

Our Product

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) has established

a list of disinfectants

that meet their criteria or use against SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.

According to EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler, “Using the correct disinfectant is an important part of preventing and reducing the spread of illnesses along with other critical aspects such as hand washing.”

Vital Oxide is included on this list, and meets the EPA’s emerging pathogen requirements for viruses showing efficacy against envelope and non-envelope virus, both large and small.

SARS-CoV-2 may survive for several days on some surfaces. Estimates of its life span vary, from minutes to days, depending on the surface. This makes disinfecting often-touch items and surfaces a priority.
